Internship

The Office of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) for the Baltic States in Riga regularly offers internships to students who have completed at least the first year of their studies and are interested in the process of European integration of the Baltic States, strengthening social democracy in Europe, promoting international political dialogue and in the international political work of the FES in general.

Requirements for an internship at the FES Baltic States are:

  • Study background in political science, sociology and/or economics at least in the 2nd year of studies
  • The intern should have a very good command of both German and English. Office language is German
  • Civic or political engagement
  • The duration of the internship should be 2 or 3 months
  • Knowledge in Mircrosoft Office

Applicants are asked to supply the following information:

  • Curriculum Vitae
  • application with a statement of motivation
  • personal subject areas and activities of particular interest
  • period of time and preferred dates for internship

Interns must bear all costs (transport, including the flight to Riga, board and lodging) themselves. We therefore strongly recommend that if necessary applicants seek funding in good time.
